Canada Jobs

Want to work in Canada? Jobs are not necessarily easy to come by, but a job offer from a Canadian employer means you have a number of options.

If your job offer is full-time and permanent, you may qualify for arranged employment under Canada’s Federal Skilled Worker Program or for a Skilled Worker category of one of the Provincial Nomination Programs (PNPs). Either of these opportunities is designed to provide workers with fast-track options to permanent residency (PR). If your job offer is temporary, it is still possible to eventually qualify for one of the programs designed to fast-track applicants towards permanent residency, such as the Canadian Experience Class.

Find a Job in Canada:

Patience and planning are required to find a job in Canada. Jobs are easiest to find through a social network.  If your social network in Canada is limited, feel free to use our Jobs in Canada Application. If you are a worker located outside of Canada, finding a Canadian job may not be easy.

Some employers are hesitant to undertake the work permit process for a variety of reasons. For example, they may not know how to navigate the requirements and procedures imposed on them by the Canadian government. FWCanada is happy to contact employers, on behalf of foreign workers, to explain in simple terms the various Canadian immigration processes and regulations involved.

Before You Begin:

Remember, Canadian immigration will not issue a work permit to a foreign worker who does not have the credentials to work in Canada. Jobs in Canada may either be regulated or unregulated. If the job is in a regulated field, the foreign worker will have to demonstrate that they meet the Canadian immigration criteria for the job they have been offered. For more information on whether the job you have been offered requires licensing, contact FWCanada.
